one for the ladies

We've done this to death, guys. Good/Bad golf. Good/bad etiquette is not dependant on gender.

Get a grip BS.

Hardly anything to get a grip about. It's an observation, nothing more nothing less. Yes you get some loud people whether they be male or in this case female the bottom line is it can be off puting to others.

Davie is big enough to fight his own battles but I will say I know him well enough to say he's no troll.

mmm FD ive defo got a grip, i wasnt trying to start a gender good/bad etiquette. i was just telling everyone what happened. if it ever happens and its men i will post that aswell

Of course you were! The whole thread was designed to goad someone like me to come on and call you an idiot. :D

I''ve been known to sit on the fence, so here it goes.......

The majority of the time the woman golfers are loud and they definitely stroll around as if they are the only ones on the golf course.

But....maybe we could take a leaf out of their book? Maybe we should relax a little more, not be so aware of our surroundings and stop worrying so much.

Personally, I don't really care either way.

Yes we do have some ladies that make a lot of noise throughout their round. However if I was being perfectly honest, they are not different to a lot of male members but perhaps it is their tone that makes them stand out more. I've never had any issue certainly to the point of giving "the stare" or saying anything

ive noticed that ladies are loud out on the golf course.

im sure the ladies on here are proper golfers, but do you find this aswell. honestly it was nearly like the tennis with all the high pitched squeeling and yelps of excitement.:whoo:

reads to me like a provocative post designed to get a reaction :o

point 1 is generalist, point 2 a little patronising. Substitute 'ladies' for 'seniors' and watch the fireworks

I've never had a problem

seriously i was not fishing!!! it was an honest observation and if anyone thinks it was anything different PM me with your concerns. if i was trying to hook someone there was loads more i cud have said but im not like that :o

Don't worry, I'm just having a laugh.

Mental note to self: Don't post on the forum when you've been to the pub straight after work

Fair enough, bigslice, you generally talk sense on here. Maybe I jumped to the wrong conclusion. Apologies.

I've encountered plenty of noisy individuals on golf courses.... of both genders.

I certainly don't think women are any louder on the course than men.
I think that as generally women's voices are higher pitched than men's they possibly carry further. I can't say I've ever had a problem with it though.
