Oldish clubs.

Afternoon all,

Looking at picking up a 2nd hand set of clubs in the next month or so. Any one used or is still using Mx 200 ?
If so would you class them as forgiving ?

What other ones that fall into the forgiving range would you be on the look out for as a high handicapper.

I know the answer is go to AG and try different ones, but they will not have any test sets of the range/age I will be looking at.

Also not looking to spend to much as will be treating myself in just under 3 years.

Either will be equal or only a bit behind most similar clubs on the market now...

could easily pick up a set of orka GS5s for £100-£150 depending on if you are fussed about resale value

I use ping G5s. They're cheap, they're forgiving. They are both of these without jet powered face technologies, so not as long as some modern stuff, but a bit more predictable.

I chop around off 11, so you have a bit of room to grow into them...

Anything Ping or Cleveland X series (14, 16, 18 etc)

You can still find a lot of reviews for the MX 200 on this and other websites.

They would appear to be a set of clubs with the sort of forgiveness sought by a lot of players.

my mate has a set of Callaway X22 in his garage if your interested I will ask him how much he wants.
I know he’s having a clear out soon

Mine are nearly 10 year old. Love them easy to hit etc ive tinkered with others but nothing has made me change.

For a higher handicapper looking for some forgiveness and something that will hit it out there I would go and look for some Callaway. Ebay has some good deals on them:
