Have quite a lot of old coins halfpennies pennies 3ds, tanners, decimalisation sets, Churchill crowns etc.

There are loads of many different denominations.

Any suggestions where to go to get rid of them without being ripped off?

Don't want to sound pessimistic but they don't sound like a collection that's going to earn you any substantial money.

I’d suggest that if there are any that you think might be worth something then have a look on ebay and see what they sell for.
Condition is everything unless they are silver coins old enough to have an actual silver content in which case condition is irrelevant. Silver coins from 1920 to 1945 are roughly 50% silver and silver coins 1919 and before are just over 90% silver, though it would be worth checking dates etc for older ones.

If you don’t have any of these then your best bet is probably to make a few bundles up and offer them on ebay.

Cheers.

Not looking to make a fortune and what you say is realistic and near the mark

Basically, all I want is to get rid of them but realise this will b every difficult
