Old but Beautiful

I remarked on here a few months ago about being presented, in a cheeky way, a five wood by one of my playing partners.

This club came from the back of a locker and had cobwebs on it!!

For fun I used it the next time we played and ......... it was magic! I have never hit a better more consistent club in all my long playing life.

I then searched for the rest of the set, driver, three and seven and I now have acquired them ...£35.00 to £19.99 each from eBay!

They suit me or my swing or whatever, so much that I have now recorded my lowest gross score of 70 against a CSS of 69.

That is a magic finish to a year as it also beats my age by four - an even better claim to fame for my clubs.

The clubs are old Clevelands, with an active tip, carbon shaft.

Old but still Beautiful ..... to me!

5 woods are easier to hit than hybrids and long irons. You you have put it right into play. People who jest over 5 and 7 woods have not tried them. They might just be surprised!

Why make the game harder trying to hit low loft hybrids?
