The Grinder Of Pars (Semi Crocked)
Well almost..
Played with CVG again - our seemingly standard friday morning constitutional - and the balls continued to want to disappear into the clag as often as possible. 4 balls gone in the first 6 holes - quality!!
But then it picked up. A glorious drive and 6 iron left me pin high right on a par 5. So I just chipped it in for an eagle and 5 points - Quality!! Finished the front 9 with a respectable 16 points and much happier than last week.
The back 9 rumbled on until I lost another ball on the 13th. That's 5 now! On the 14th, the laugh of the day was when Colin started looking for his ball about 80 yards further on from where it actually was - he then had to sheepishly walk back to it. - Quality!
Col chipped in for a par on the 14th - after nearly being in the clag off the tee (par 3), chipping over the green and then in - good job I birdied it - Quality!
Another lost ball on the 18th making 6 in total (to go with the 5 last week!) and I finished with 30 points to Colin's 31. So 30 points, 4 blobs - good scoring on the holes I finished - just got to keep the bad ones at bay. Feeling a lot better about the game today. Roll on next friday!
