timmy, how can you get to scratch without a handicap, scratch is the peak of the handicap system, which at this moment in time your not even on.

technically with no official handicap your about as far away from being scratch as you can get,
As i said in the original post it was not meant nasty. people learn things when transferring from a range to a course, people learn things when their having a hack on a sunday with mates then trying to achieve a goal whether it be a personal best, or just that next category in HC. no need to be so defensive.

I think that's the exact problem which too many golfers exhibit - too worried about their handicap and not enough about their golf. Luckily, I'm free from all that nonsense and can just concentrate on playing.
As for the non-offensive comment - you're the one calling me "timmy", as does the Homer gang. I suppose it makes you feel important that you can ridicule? Not that it particular bothers me, but it is interesting to see how people have reacted to my presence over the last few months. Some people are friendly and offer encouragement, others want to ridicule, and some are plain abusive. What you say about me tells me more about your character.

But playing in a medal with a valid and proper handicap is what club golf is all about IF/WHEN you ever get one you will find that out. There are no worries on a range as the video of you knobbing one off the first showed that when under a bit of pressure it is different.
