Not looking good for Rory!

It'll be interesting to see how it goes. He took a couple of anti-inflammatories about 20 minutes ago so they should kick in soon. He's playing well in the circumstances but whether it'll be the same on the tougher back nine remains to be seen.

he's ok, its a jar of the wrist, plenty get similar in other sports albeit in different areas, a bit like football... run it off, if its still bad after 10 mins then come off

he has the flexibility just a fair bit of discomfort which is understandable

the 7 iron tee shot that he had to play a strong 8 (cos he had bent the bugger ;) ) summed it up as he bloody nailed it

mucho kudos imho

I think he's doing the correct thing providing the medical staff said as we think that he can't do any more damage. If he battles through for a -1 or par round then he has 24 hours to rest it.

And then 6 months to rest it if need be.
Last Major, last real biggy of the year - sit it out after Sunday if there is any real damage.

The coverage of Rorys wrist was amazing.

Why can't every bit of Sky coverage be like this!?!?

What, the bit where they followed every single bit of him,his wrist, him standing flexing his hand etc etc?

Was like Tiger has never been away and that was oh so popular.

Thats the bit. I'm sure there is an idea for a spin off series coming from this.

Give me tiger lifting his leg and wincing any day! At least he was in contention at the time.

Also I hear Rory has split with his girlfriend so I only assume Mark Roe is trying to get in with him now?

Great effort from rory to knock it round level par for 16holes injured. Hopefully with a bit of physio treatment he will be able to play tomorrow's round pain free and try to get back in contention.

Just catching up with the coverage and IMHO he and his caddy for letting him hit that shot are complete plonkers .

It was the third hole of a 72 hole event and I see as he admitted afterwards , a chip out side wards would have on all probability ended in a 5 which was his score, oh B..... hindsight.

Right enough of that , only time will tell if he was right to carry on and he certainly showed that the left hand is the dominant hand in the golf swing and the right is just along for the ride.

I see the MRI scan has revealed a strained tendon ,tendons can take a very long time to heal . A broken wrist would heal quicker so Mrs, Matron , Upsidedown tells me .

Whatever he decides to do today to carry on or not I wish him a speedy recovery.
