The technology exists, even if you destroy every nuke on earth , that technology will still exist and will be able to be resurrected by whoever desires it.
Unless you wipe the internet, and execute every person in the world who has ever been involved in the research and development of these weapons.
See how difficult it is?
NK would be better off scrapping their Nuke program and spending the money on feeding their brainwashed people.
I would support air strikes to stop NK aquireing nukes because one day Kim Boss man will actually be deluded enough to launch one for real.
Nukes are the ultimate deterrent because if one gets let off, we are all off to hell in a handcart, that's why it is important to stop them spreading beyond where they already are now.

fixed that for you![]()
Clearly NK needs to be stopped from acquiring useable nukes but I always do find it just a tiny bit ironic that the world's nuclear policeman is the US.
Pub quiz question: only 1 county in history has ever used a nuclear weapon, and they did it twice. Guess which country that was...
Unfortunately there are not that many other countries willing and able to take the place of the USA. And if Trump has his way he will choose his policing very carefully and do it only if it is in the immediate interests of the USA. He will expect the rest of us to step up to the plate - and who knows - such a commitment from the UK may well be one of Trump's bargaining chips when it comes to agreeing a trade deal with Brexit UK.
I'm just surprised it took you this long to bring up Brexit
Maybe now you can also pop back to the Kelvin McKenzie thread and explain your remarks - "let he who is without sin cast the first stone"
Well it is a fact that we are leaving the EU and must surely understand that outside of the EU the UK will be expected to fill some sort of policing role - and if the USA pulls back from some as Trump wishes we surely are best positioned of any country to step up to the plate.
The meaning of the parable is not difficult. In a context don't criticise unless you are without fault. Doesn't mean you can't criticise - just be aware of your own shortcomings and maybe look to fix those first.
The point to about simply whether Grumpy may try and get some form of commitment from the UK on front line international policing as part of any wider US/UK deal. With trump anything is possible.
Irrelevant once again to the subject - it's about North Korea and its nuclear arsenal not any deal between the U.K. and the US and Brexit
