Non Returns

I don't see walking off as an option as you have a responsibility to your playing partner whose card you are marking.

I can see the argument to NR on a hole that just isn't going to work - I once played a 440 yd Par 4 as an 1100 yd hole in a medal (hit it, lost it, trudge back 200 yds x3) - I didn't know you could NR then, I thought you had to play out every hole.

Weekend comp at mine saw 8 NR's from 44 players

In a stableford!!

How in god's name can you NR a stableford??

Thats impressive!! Think I can top that though.

Our stableford event was won with 72 points this week. No NR's though.

Not a fan of NRing however can see it as a sensible option. Some people seem to egar to pick it up and call it a day though.

Personally I'd rather post 105 then NR and have done, but I'm just a chopper without a face to save.

The guy put his points in the gross score entry, had everyone talking for a few days though as no body knew him. It was posted on the running leaderboard but was corrected today when proper results were posted.

Personally I think the far bigger issue is that players think that once a card is an NR then that's it, an automatic 0.1 and they give up, walk off or whatever not realising that they can still get a reduction.

That's interesting, I don't think even our club secretary knows that :D
