I am in the middle of a dry streak for competition play last played on the 20th and will next play on 3rd of july mainly down to holiday and club championship closing the course for hours on end!!!!! and i still do not have my voucher for last medal which is pretty agreiving and also our head pro is a bit of a dooshbag. because when i asked about my voucher he said he'll check but then got completely engaged talking to mr club champion (cause he's so special) and i actually walked out of the shop. i feel it's a shame on our assistant pro cause he's a great lad always does his best to help.

RANT OVER :ANGRY :AGREIVED :PLEASE SAY I WIN RANT OF MONTH!!!!!!!

OK you win rant of the month! Tiger - Tiger...........

Get the hell outta there, find yourself a new club. Golf is for enjoyment, not putting up with crap like that!

I know that Gifford have scored quite a few guys who left Monktonhall this year and at £225 for annual subs, who can blame them??

Looking at Gifford, Mortonhall, Gullane and north Berwick

Quite a spread of prices there. Gifford is only nine holes, but three of the holes have different tee positions to vary things a bit between 'front' nine and 'back' nine. £225 annual subs (which includes £20 bar vouchers) Kand a £100 joining fee.

My house actually backs on to Mortonhall, but at £2K to join, plus £850 a year, it's well out of my league. Lovely course, but not sure I'd fit in with the members even if I could afford it. Gullane and North Berwick West would be similar money to Mortonhall, I'd imagine, unless you're thinking about The Glen?
