Nike RZN Tour Platinum

What’s other people’s thoughts on putting with this ball, I thought it was ok tee to green but really struggled putting with it, it may just be me though.

I think they come up a bit short, so need a bit more oomph. Soon get used to it though.

Was ‘playing’ on Saturday and my putting was excellent using this ball, dont even know what the difference was between the last time I used it.
Rest of my game was terrible though, that’s not the balls fault I’m afraid.

not a fan of Nike balls TBH.

I've 1000's of balls sitting in the garden shed, if you let me know what you wan;t to try Brian, i will sort you out with some to try next time i see you:thup:

It's weird but I don't think I've ever had a good round with any iteration of a Nike ball hence I won't uses them.

Superstitious nonsense as I know this particular model is a good ball, feels nice, spins well etc but there you go

Likewise - and I have no idea what to do with them - thought about trying to sell small bags of them at church fairs - but no idea whether to sell mixed bags; to sell single makes/models; and how to charge.

I take the dog out round the golf course and pick up quite a few. The ones I don't use get cleaned up and put on gumtree. Normally £20 per 100 of the lower brands like Pinnacle and then £30 for the branded ones (Srixon distance and the like) and then the softer more popular balls I would do for like 50p per ball. Sometimes you would get people looking for a certain ball but normally people are happy with the bag of 100. Shift fairly quickly in my area when I am not too lazy to clean them. Have about 300 sitting ready to be cleaned since last season and just can't be bothered

Found a few Nike balls recently and have been wondering - they are in my bag - they will be removed (were going to be in any case unless I found out that they were the dogs golfballs)

So these would be: all Srixon except Z-Stars; all Titleist except pro V1/V1x; all Bridgestones except Tour B (R)XS and maybe B330s (Warbirds being bottom of barrel?) ; All Callaway except Chrome Soft; All TMs except TP5s.

maybe I'll just divvy them up that way - do you mail them or is it 'buyer collect'

Yeah basically exactly that. Sometimes people really like the ad333 and the tour version so I would split them out as well, really depends on how many I have. I used to just sell the lower branded ones for £20 per 100 and the higher for £30 (minus prov1, Z Star and Chrome soft) but I kept getting people asking for certain balls like ad333 so I took out the pearl ones of them and sell them in smaller amounts for 50p per ball.

Always just do buyer collect as I can't be bothered posting and not really worth it as they are quite heavy.

It's a surprisingly easy way to make money, I have kept a record and have made about 1k over the last 3 years with not much effort. Then take into account that I have never had to buy balls the savings really add up!

i tend to keep the Pro that are good enough to play, then all the others when i go to an open with a practice ground i take a carrier bag full and hit them onto the practice ground and leave them.

Trouble is i find them quicker than i can get shot.

Thanks for that - all good advice...

I was actually going to ask specifically about AD333s - as I rather like them myself more than any other 'middle-ranking' ball - but have enough 'premium' balls to not have to need bother with the AD333s - and have stacks of them.

I've been thinking of doing that. Where there is a range and I can't be bothered forking out for range balls - use my own and donate the range balls charge saved :) We have free range balls at my place so whereas previously I would have kept a stock for the range - I don't need them any more.

I asked my daughter's B/F (a PGA teaching pro) to pick out the balls worth using from my bag of more recent finds (100s over the last few months). He just picked out the ProVs as there were enough of them...didn't bother with any other 'premium' ball.

Why not find a junior academy somewhere. I am sure the new and very young golfers wouldn't be brand snobbish and would be happy to receive a free gift. Might go a small way to encouraging others and keeping those already just starting on the golfing road to keep going

On the strength of this thread, I bought some of these for me and my 2 sons.

Usual ball is Bridgestone BS330RX.

Early testing has proven them to be longer (for me) and have good feel and stopability. I prefer them to my long time favourite Bridgestone

I will be buying again before they go out of stock. A fraction over £1 for a premium ball is a brilliant price and as suggested earlier the "practice" stamp can be "sharpied" for use as a putting alignment.

My only query is that out of several dozen every ball was a #1 - anyone else have this?
