Nice write up for Lottie Woad.

Very solid first two rounds in the Kroger Queen City by Lottie. Unlucky with three or four putts looking to drop that just drifted by…but still sitting T8 at -9; job #1 done…cut made. Great stuff also from Charley Hull sitting T2 at -11, and only two behind the leader.

Decent 3rd round 3 under puts Lottie on -12; sitting 9th place and 3 behind the leader Charley Hull. Probably too much of an ask for Lottie, but Go Charley!

Lottie with Maja Stark 🇸🇪and Sei Young Kim 🇰🇷for final round.

It's brilliant she is in there with a chance and is returning scores to rival the worlds best. Amazing start to her professional career.

Unsure what her goals are, or what her team expects, but hope it is just for her to play good golf at this stage and see where she ends up after 72 holes, rather than any pressure talk of being number one, earnings etc.

Unless there’s an eagle on the last for current 4th place, or one of the two leaders have a mare, Lottie looks like a third place finish.

Go on girl!

Oh dear Jenno, but well done Charley…

And as for Lottie…well I did say should could make an impact in the pro game (as if I knew…🤣)

Already 15th in the Rolex ranking before today and now up to 34 in CME. A cracking -6 today, but what could have been. 61 GIR seems pretty awesome stuff. Plus another £100,000 tucked away.

Walmart NW Arkansas this coming week.

Btw…her goal is to be world #1 - maybe not this year 😊 but she and her coaches believe that she can do that…👍

Updated Rolex World rankings sees Lottie up to #11…after only 13 events (includes LPGA events played in whilst still an amateur as only 5 events as a pro). Charley up to #5 👍

Really good write up in the Sunday Times…unfortunately behind a paywall, and reduced res image difficult to read.

Lottie is currently at #11 in the World Rankings after just 15 events (some played when an amateur)

Goes along with nominations for then Sunday Times Sportswoman of the Year. Nominations can be made following the link…👍🙂

Just had a look.
Does she then qualify for the category, Young Sportswoman of the Year?

Absolutely; but also Sportswoman and perhaps also Inspirational categories. If you are so inclined you can vote for her in as many categories as you like. What the club thinks of her...glowing of course - just as you'd expect... (y)
  • Lottie is a proud member of Farnham Golf Club, and her roots in the club reflect the club’s commitment to nurturing home-grown talent. She began participating in junior events at the club and has stayed true to her Farnham base.
  • She achieved global recognition by winning many events including the prestigious Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament in 2024, becoming the first European winner of that event.
  • Following that, she rose to No 1 in the world amateur golf ranking and went on to win the Women’s Irish Open by six shots while still playing as an amateur.
  • She then won her debut Professional event at the Scottish Open.
  • She's currently ranked 11th the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings
  • Her disciplined ascent from a junior player at the club to elite international performer embodies the very qualities this award seeks to celebrate: tenacity, excellence, and inspiring leadership.
  • Lottie is also a role-model for younger members within Farnham Golf Club’s junior and academy programmes. Her journey emphasises the message that with dedication and the right support, world-class performance is within reach.

Lottie Woad shortlisted for Sunday Times Young Sportswoman of the Year

Opportunity to promote women's and girl's golf...needs your vote (y)

Lottie is sitting #11 in the world (her high being #10) and since end of July this year (when she won the Scottish Open) she has won over $831,000 - not bad for a rookie 4 months.

https://times.formstack.com/forms/sundaytimessportswomenoftheyear2025

nb chuck in the $520,000 she didn't pick up (being an amateur at the time) for her finishes in the Irish (1st) and Evian (T3rd)...

Another tidy result for Lottie this weekend. Partnered with Luke Clanton in the Grant Thornton Invitational (field of 16 pairs) they ended up today T7...and $175000 in pocket to share. Clanton and Lottie were put together as he is also a Florida State graduate - and of same year as Lottie - and the former Men's Am Game World #1 at same time as Lottie was Ladies Am World #1.

So...$87,500 each for three days work...more 'not bad if you can get it' stuff - taking her just shy of $1,000,000 winnings in five months as a pro.

I switched it on for a bit and it gave that vibe of, an absolute nothing event but you know everyone there’s in for a payday
