Hi

I have made my first new years resolution. I will stick with my current bag for the entire 2011 season (except the putter which is currently on probation). As a self confessed club ho this will be difficult but i am going to really try.

Any one else made (or going to make) any new years resolutions?

Edgey, same as you really. I'm another new sticks whore but vowed to stick with my current bats all season with the exception that if I get to 12 I'm going to look at mizzy or pings custom fit.

Other than that my other one is no swearing at all! Apparently my misses has stated I will last an hour. Not a potty mouth as such but I'm going all out no swearing 2011. God will love me for it!

Yes i am,i am determined to lose a stone and generally get fitter and healthier.I used to be so fit now im so unfit. On the golf side im also determined to get into single figures and get even lower by the end of the year.

Get back in the gym. It's bee a difficult couple of months for various different reasons and I appear to have lost all strength and core stability.

Golf-wise I would say that now I (finally) have a full bag, it would be to stick to what I've got. This might not last though as I'd very much like a custom fitted driver for my Birthday in April and also think it's time to look for a new 3 wood. :D

The main one is to get back into competitive golf (should be easy once I've joined my local track in April) and get down to 12 or below. A fairly adventurous target, but one I feel can be reached.

After two really crap years at work I got what could be some good news before Christmas. The manager that caused the whole of the north region has been moved to another area and a new manager has taken over. We know this guy to be fair and square so my resolution is to make a fresh start in the coming year. I'm going to get stuck into work and stop moaning and groaning about it and see if 2011 can be better. Oh and contribute to world peace.

going to get fitter and depending how my golf goes after the football season finished will stop playing football and concentrate on golf in the future

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! It hadn't crossed my mind at all but now I'm going to have to think of something all because of YOU!!!! :D :D :D

.... Ack!! Already I can't stop thinking about it!!!!! :D

Cool... judging by your swing you'll be able to keep your money and not need to pester Mizuno or Ping :D :D :D LOLOLOL.... and more LOL's !!

I'm gonna lose some timber next year! ;)
Already informed HID I intend rejoining the gym in the New Year. Hopefully will lose the Michelin and get fitter and stronger at the same time. I should imagine it will help my golf too.

Obviously aiming to get the handicap down, would be nice to reach the high teens!
Play plenty comps, the usual practice more.

Basher watch out. Don't forget Monty and Darren Clarke tried to do the same thing and I reckon both played worst after it :D Darrens playing better now he's put some back on again!! ;)
I must admit I lost a fair bit, didn't markedly improve my game but after 18 felt I could go round again rather than fall asleep for the afternoon. Definitely worth the effort
