So I'm in the market for some new golf shoes after my old Adidas pair are on the way out!

I'm looking at the Adidas Tour 360ATV, does anyone have any comments on them? Comfy? Waterproofing last?

Also feel free to sing the praises of other shoes, I'm still undecided on what to get.

Thanks

I've just ordered a pair of Adidas 360 4.0's from Clubhouse Golf. I've had three pairs of 360 3.0's in a row and the 4.0's were on sale at £69.99, compared to the ATV's at circa £100. Too good a bargain to miss, I reckoned.

dont buy adidas unless you want them to fall to pieces, 2 pairs of tour 360s last yr, and the adipures ive had a few months are starting to go already

Had a very short lived experience with Adidas shoes that lasted a total of 9 holes. The fit was narrow, padding on the sole was thin and they squeaked like mad.

Foot joys for me only thanks, although the pumas wasn't bad.

adidas all the way for me. I still have two pairs of the original 360's that I keep for winter golfing, must be six years old and still waterproof and comfortable.

Today I played in my black 360 Ltd's, just like slippers.

Previously worn FJs which are very nice too but adidas seem to fit me better.

Are FJ's comfy? They never look particularly comfy, I'm obviously wrong as they are so popular. However they do seem quite a rigid shoe...

I have 2 pairs of FJ shoes, got my AQL's 2 weeks ago and played last sunday = launching it down. Feet were bone dry although we bombed it off after 9 holes

played again yesterday, 18 holes, 5hr round (4 balls round forest of arden) and my feet felt absolutely fine

FJ are deffo comfy, I suffer with a fallen met arch on my right foot so if shoes are not comfortable I will soon feel it!

I used to wear FJs before adidas 360's came out and never had a problem with them, just that the adidas seemed to fit my feet better.

Try them on in the shop and see how they feel

Slippers for your feet, got 3 pairs of fj sports, one going into its 3rd season with next to no wear, one 6-10 rounds old and one pair of 2012 boa laced sports

If budget was no option I would have tried the xps, but the sports are a awesome shoe!

My footjoy sports killed my feet, took nine months to break in, and then leaked like a sieve. Worst shoes I have ever owned, and I have had a lot of shoes.

Each to their own.

See I was looking at the FJ Sports, but have heard a few mixed reviews about comfort and durability...

Try Ecco as well. I have a pair of the Biom's and they are like bedroom slippers not sure about in wet conditions though. Anyway take a look at this on Ebay:

I would not dare try and sell them. Bin is the only place for those and he has the cheek to charge £10 postage!!!

They look like they came out of the bin.

I have 2 pairs of Adidas, a pair of 360 4.0 and they fell apart in the heel, even after tehy had been replaced. Trying the adipure, but they have a low heel and they rub like mad. Might give the footjoys or Ecco a try.

I emailed FJ about the new XPS to see if the were going to sell the plain black over here. For some mad reason they said they have no plans to sell plain black FJ XPS-1 over here at all, given the crappy british weather and the fact, black re much easier to keep clean and looking good.

I love the adipures but they take a good bit of wearing in. On my second round with mine and my feet are in pain atm. Once they give they are like a glove.
Just picked up a pair of AQLs as a second pair. Will give them a run next weekend.
Next on the list is a pair of 360 ATV's with my pro shop winnings.

Adidas shoes are horrendous. Comfy, yes. But not waterproof and more like a sponge when it's wet so feels like you're walking around with divers boots on.

Got some Nike Lunar Control a few weeks back and they are the best golf shoes I've had. Best £70 I've spent in a long time. Really, really comfortable and absolutely waterproof. Job done.

I have seven pairs of various adidas 360's and never had wet feet once! That is despite the Scottish weather!

You must have the only 7 pairs in existence that are waterproof then :)

I had 2 pairs and were rubbish. Even worse than the FJ's I had that kept splitting and replaced with adidas.

Each to their own but I won't be buying adidas shoes again.

Been a FJ wearer for years, have 2 pairs of dryjoys tour and they are the best shoes ive ever had.

Also still have an old pair of AQL (aqualites) which ar also in decent next, could do with new cleats right enough.

Looking at a pair of Puma trainer style when i go to Florida in May, I'm not overly convinced with the style but i'll get a better look in the flesh, from memory though Puma were a tad larger than FJ though when I last tried the cell fusions.

Each to his own indeed Jocko! One man's slipper is another man's bear trap.

Never had any issues with adidas or FJ. I always clean my shoes after use and dry them naturally.

Perhaps you should try some Gore-Tex lined Ecco's?
