New Shoes

I started with Dunlop cheapies - lasted until the first rain (cracked all across the top).
since when fj's though I did pick up a pair of adidas cheap in a sale - ok in the summer but nothing like as comfortable; it feels as if I'm standing on hard matting at times.

I might get trainer style for the summer, but winter has to be shoes - unless someone knows of some boots? Combat golf?

I got the anniversary dryjoys in the white and the black as I love the old fashioned brogue style. I had a pair of dryjoys in the same style about ten years ago and they only gave up the ghost in the spring and started to split slightly and so they are the range shoes now.

I was looking for a brogue design over the last two years and even wrote to FJ asking if they were ever going to bring them back. The guy said only if they had enough demand and then lo and behold there they are as an anniversary pair.

Got several ideas for some Myjoy Icons when they are released but RRP is around £180 although my pro reckons he could probably do them around £140-150. Might be one for my birthday though!

Nuffin other than Adidas shoes go on my feet! Although I do own a pair of dryjoys that I won! Much prefer the adidas for comfort and fit though!

Homer its a well known fact that you need to buy a size bigger when it comes to adidas golf shoes.

Only Adidas on my feet too. Never had a bad pair, the 360 Tour limited are great, no problems wearing them in, comfortable straight from the box. Did have to size up though, as TheCraw says it's common for adidas, and not just their golf shoes, have to size up in my trainers too, it's usually because they are quite a narrow fit as opposed to a short fit, but if they fit, they fit fine.

I do have a pair of AQL's that I bought a couple of years back, gave me nothing but pain, comfortable for the first couple of hours but always started hurting around 12th hole onwards. I did fancy a pair of MYJoys, but they can't embroider my mark on them :(.

Stick with Adidas, life's too short for ugly shoes.

So far I have never seen an attractive pair of golf shoes made by Adidas. They are all clumpy, with strange bits of stripey plastic stuck to them.

I buy the same size Adidas as my normal shoes I find you get a bit of rubbing the first few wears, but after that they are the most comfy and stay a better fit, I find Footjoy get looser the more you use them

I agree murph......i think all Adidas golf shoes look cheap and plasticy (i know they are not cheap).

I like the styling. Much more modern than some of the FJ ranges and definitely more attractive than Ecco or Cally shoes (which look cheap and plastic). I just can never get a pair to break in easily.

Unitl they get the sizing sorted out I'm happy in the FJ camp especially with myjoys

Why do I want golf shoes to look modern? They are golf shoes. I want them to look like golf shoes, not astronaut boots.

I agree!!! I also think that some of the shoes on the market look more like ten pin bowling shoes than golf shoes and that's an appalling look!!! :)

FJ have some new ones out next year that are clearly looking to capture the trendy market Puma etc are selling to. Can't remember the FJ range name but saw it in the 2010 catalogue in the pro shop and have to say they are loud

I will have to say FJ's every time also, no need for wearing in, they have different width which also works, I am 10.5 Medium, they are comfy from the word GO.

The 2010 Lo-Pro's are looking real nice, I did try to get a pair last month, but no go, they are making us hang on till next year for sure. I ended up buying the Lo-Pro all white Shoes instead, great shoe :D
