New Putter?

I have been using a Titleist Scotty Cameron, Sante Fe TeI3 for about 10 years now.

I'm not a regular golfer but I'm starting to get the bug a bit more now (I know, a bit later for this season!) but I think it's time to replace my putter as I just don't get on with it. I feel like I would benefit from something a bit heavier.

I am aware that my current club has some sell-on value so I'm thinking of selling up and replacing. Problem is, there are some signs of rust on the club. I didn't clean it after every round with the gun oil and it shows. Is it still worth some money?

I can post pics if need be!

Thanks,

Scott

I'll give you a fiver and a Twix for it? :smirk:

Welcome to the forum.

Scotty Cameron putter hold there value quite well so you may be surprised how much you get for it.

There are specialist club restorers that can re-finish the club for you, or better still, send it back to Scotty Cameron in the states, they will re-finish it and it will look like new!!

It all depends on your budget.

Thanks, although I think I'll have to politely decline your offer!

I didn't realise they would re-touch and send back good as new. If that is the case I'll definitely look into it as it will be worth allot more in a like-new condition. At the moment I think I'd take £100 for it but I've seen them go for double that in good condition.

Ultimately I do think I will let it go though as I've not really got on that well with it!

Thanks for your quick reply!

No problem Scott.

Here's a link to the Scotty Cameron custom shop in the states.

Should give you a price for a full refurb

hmm.. it's $145 to restore. If I was going to keep the putter then I might consider it but I'm not sure it's a price worth paying only to sell the club?

I think I might place an add here to see if anyone wants it first and see what kind of offers I can get!

Thanks again for your help.

I've attached some pics - it doesn't look like there is much hope in all honesty. I think a refurb would be the best bet and I definitely would send it off if I was to keep it!
