Replacement Putter Grip

I currently use an Odyssey #7 Tank putter with a Superstroke mid slim 2.0 grip (with counterweight fitted). The grip is now looking a bit ragged and I am thinking of replacing it. It like the feel of the thicker grip and would like something similar but I am worried about how the putter would feel if I just got a new type of grip without the weight in it. Would a 'standard' thick grip still work or would I be better just swapping like for like? I don't want to end trying loads of grips and then ending up back with a 2.0 after spending loads on grips.

Simply get a cheap probably non original and give it a try.

Where I play the pro has trial putters with different grip sizes fitted to help a player make a choice.

If youre used to a counterweighted grip then personally Id replace like for like

I've used a counterweight before, could feel no noticeable difference.
