New Golf Bag

I've had a BigMax bag for a year or three. The cushioned separators on top disintegrated quite early, the internal separators followed, a rubbing strap wore a hole in the side and overall it's looking pretty tatty. I've been looking at Ping DLX, Motocaddy M Tech and, at a stretch, a Vessel. Thoughts/experiences welcome.

Have a look a Ogio, great quality and ideal if you like to stand out on the course as their designs are a bit wild!

I’ve got a SunMountain H2NO, very good quality. Only gripe would be think it could do with a couple of smaller pockets to put things like tees in so they are seperate.

I have g fore bag made by vessel and its great. Played recently in some heavy rains and everything was nice and dry. I'm using it on the trolley in the summer and carry in the winter.
Still looks like brand new after 18 months.
I have a mate who bought titliest bag made by vessel and he is very happy with it too.

The M tech in principle should be a good bag as it’s their top model. I’ve got the aquaflex stand bag which must be 5 years old now at least and has no signs of wear especially those mentioned and it’s been used on trolleys, carry and golf buggies.

I’ve just got a lite series cart version and the quality looks unchanged which inspires confidence

Ping bags are great quality, practical and very robust although I've only had Hoofer derivatives and the Moonlight. The DLX looks like it would be a beast to carry during a trolley ban.

I've had my Motocaddy Hydroflex bag for more than two years and I still cannot fault, still in perfect nick as well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again.

Try 40 years ago - got this one early this year - some years of use left in it.

The Elite bag also has a third clothing pocket on the backside (alone with 2 smaller pockets) that has a double zip, so it can be accessed from both sides. Its ideal for holding wet stuff that when you get home you take out and open both sides to let it breath dry.

If its a trolley bag you are after, and you have had Big Max before, i'd certainly recommend a look at the Big Max Silencio.

Amate had a similar one from a different brand and I found the Big Max on offer. Great concept, having clubs organised every time and no club chatter.

Absolutely. I bought a Hoofer Monsoon last year. Within a month the coating over the pocket that houses the rain hood was wearing off and it looked terrible.
A pal has had similar trouble plus a piece of plastic on the strap mechanism broke.
I returned mine and got a Titleist stadry. An OK bag but the leg mechanism is not a patch on Ping.

I keep tees, markers, gloves etc in small freezer bags in my bag.

You can avoid Benross carry bags. The legs don't go into position when carrying and splay out like, well you know.....
