Looking at a new Big Dog, but I have not seen any real rumors regarding what TM are going to release. Normally by now they have released next years model keeping up with the trend they have set of something new every year. Are they even planning on releasing something new?

2 changes to the bag over the winter getting ready for next season are a new putter and a driver. Going out to get a Scotty today, but the shop is a Titleist fitting studio and I know I will have to swing the new 917 driver. I don't want to hit it, love it, buy it, then in a few weeks TM release something that I may like more.

Anyone heard anything?

the fitters at the belfry are holding a meeting Monday about the new launch. the m1 stock has already been removed from the room. mid November is the rumour

It seems to have been a while since any TM driver release so hopefully it's a trend set to continue. Be interesting to see how they improve on the M1 and M2 which have been universally accepted as one of their best especially on the pro tours

I'm not that overly impressed with the R15 or the M1, I prefer my SLDR. Tried the M1 out and even though I played around with different shafts it didn't go as straight or long as mine. Only when I put my shaft into it did it look like something worth buying. Maybe it just goes to show how important the correct shaft is in a driver, but it wasn't anything that was going to make me change.

What is it with Taylormade and drivers,I remember back in the day they would sit on a driver for a couple of years now they are knocking out more than one model a year

I really think they should hold off and do one every other year.. tech doesnt change that much season to season.. the R15 for me is a decent club the only reason the m1 is better is they put a load more tech in it.. that tech was prob available at the same time just double the price and let people buy it .. it seems

I know many a player who use a 5 year old driver and constantly out drive most

then again I also know a guy who upgrades every year .. plays off 14.. hits 350 plus .. either finds the fairway or deep in rough (different guy from the guy i mentioned in grip it and rip it) he prob upgrades every year from the shear force he puts in his drives!!

one society event last year par 4, 320 yards to the green I think it was.. he drove through the green.. through the out of bounds and smashed a window in a stately home .. got to be 400 plus yards

You need to get your GPS/laser calibrated.

Unless his name is Joe Miller
you're having a giraffe.

Have just checked the figures as obviously I only played that course once this year

according to golf shot the green from the tee is 272 yards to the middle with 287 to the back edge

out of bounds head row starts at 300

the house is approx 330 from the tee box

story sounds much less impressive now  lol however still a 330 drive blimey.

but then again as he hits so far got to question why he thought it fine to hit driver on a hole under 300 yards!

He's in the, possibly envious, position of being able to play what he likes without tying himself to any contract....
Let's face it, he can afford to pop down to AG and flash the credit card a bit can't he.....
