I think comes down to adjustability , tour pros swings are consistent where as amateurs change over time so I'd bet a lot of people think if I buy this driver and I get better I can adjust it to suit my new game etc

Perhaps that's because they have an entire Tour Truck who can tweak the head to their particular requirements (Hot Melt, Bending etc) whereas Joe Public has to do it for themselves. I've certainly tweaked my adjustable head to find a setting that works - then left it!

Any element certainly, however I might suggest that there's also a small element of expecting more when paying more!

As to Rory...he will play whatever works best for him! The numbers quoted won't be his 'going at it' ones at all - as anyone who's watched Joe M at what happens when he cranks it up will appreciate! Will he play TM? Of course he will if it delivers.
