Matt surfaces are not as smooth as shiny ones , so it must have more friction I’m guessing.

But would we notice on a green in November?

I dunno if a club player would notice a difference on the fastest of summer greens :p

I reckon my brain expects it to roll less but the reality is more likely that on a putt of any length they roll an equal distance

I don’t know.😳
I imagine they would spin less as a Matt finish would incur more air turbulence than a shiny one.
But it should spin more off the grooves.

Think we need Professor Brian Cox.
