As the title says, How ignorant of me,First off an apology is needed,(wrap on the nuckles) Sorry ladies and gentlemen.

My name is Rob and I have been trying to play golf for.....has it realy been that long......18 years now, At one time my h/c was 12, however having not played much golf over the last 5 years(due to injury) the doctor advised me to take up a sport that would help me to recover, so I decided I would start playing golf again. That was 6 months ago now and I must admit that I had forgotten how much fun it is to play(and how frustrating too)...I hope that I can contribute somewhat to this forum...My apologies again for being so rude......Rob(slinks off with tail between his legs)

Have you played Royal Porthcawl mate? My Uncle was a member many moons ago and after he passed away last year I have always wanted to play it.

Htl, yes a while ago, it was blowing a gale and I must admit the course was in superb condition, unfortunately my golf swing was not,lol....it is one of the hardest courses I have ever played, but what an experience if anybody has a chance to play it, do it, but make sure you take a few extra balls with you.....Rob

One word of warning, the green fee is high...£95-£120 also you will need a h/c of 20 or below........The last time I played this course, 8 years ago, I had an h/c of 15 and still managed to shoot 105/par 72, this was off the white tee...the yellow tee is slightly easier but not by much...only the first 3 holes are "truly links holes" the rest are heathland...14th to 18th(16th being the hardest coming home)are probable the hardest finishing holes that I have ever played, but what a course(drools in the corner like homer simpson lol) Just wish my game was up to it..... :( :( :( Rob
