Most pars in a round without playing to your handicap.

I've played 2 rounds in the past week with 12 pars on each, and neither time have I played to my handicap.

Round 1 - Treble bogeys at both par 5's (1 lost ball, 1 penalty drop), plus other bogeys at the remaining 4 holes! +10!

Round 2 - 1 Treble bogey (both lost balls), 1 double bogey and 4 bogeys! +9!

I play off 8 for the record!

I had 6 pars and a birdie the other week as a 18 handicapper and still ended up 19 over

In February I got 5 pars but only accrued 32 points for the round. Five blobs in the first 10 holes, followed by a decent last 8. So yeah I think it's that. 5.

A few years ago I had 11 pars playing off 14 and finished 17 over par

Had a horrendous round a few years ago where i was 15 over par going out and 4 under coming back. i'm not sure i even had a par on the front 9:rofl:

I had 11 pars and a birdie of the back tees this morning in an impromptu BB match....but I quit after 15 holes so I guess that counts as failing to play to handicap 🤔👍

A friend had 5 birdies in a club competition and either played to handicap or +1, can't quite recall.

Wouldn't be that remarkable apart from the fact he was off 18 at the time!!

Don’t know about pars, but a few years ago (playing off 3 I had 7 birdies in a round and still finished a couple of shots over my handicap. 6 of the birdies were on the last 6 holes.
