Most Hated Commentary Phrase

If you ever watch the PGA highlights, there is this guy that always says - " here's so and so working the 'number' hole' - how can you be working the hole, nonsense.

Also, the phrase 'is that any good' to a good shot....yes, we can all see its a good shot - sheesh

Some 'classics' on here, made me chuckle.

I can't stand the Sky lot: Roe, Holmes, Lee, McGinley etc. Most of what they say is waffle.

"Atta boy - Phil/Ricky/Rory/DJ" - Butch.

And secondly, when talking about whoever happens to leading or doing well at any given moment and one commentator asks the other about his/her strengths the reply usually involves "a great short game/putter/ball striker" etc... I'm sat watching professional golfers, the elite among this sport, if they don't have those attributes there's a good chance I wouldn't be watching them shoot low 60's on TV so cheers for that.

Pretty much any tripe Roe spouts, including "He has so much imagination....." really ? there's a great big slope behind the flag, you can hit it up there and it will roll back. Imagination ? No, just common sense.......

To be honest I can cope with a lot of the bad commentary, however every time an american shouts "GET IN THE HOLE" I feel part of my soul dies.

We hear a lot of talk about fescue, for those of you not so well versed in ageonomy thats just long grass

Aye thats why we putt on fescue/bent mix greens on many links

Two minutes after switching this evenings coverage on Paul Mcginley says "too much topspin"

Could play bingo with these clowns, definitely have a full house of crap sayings before the show finishes.
