I am suffering with a massive push right with the driver at the moment. It goes straight right at 45* with not a hint of fade/slice. :D :D :D
Played this morning and two tee shots went at least two fairways wide. Tried to correct after the first one and then hit a vicious hook left.
The most annoying thing was that on 3 holes i absolutely creamed the ball with a lovely high draw. :D
Walked off the course and booked a lesson so we will have to see if the pro can sort me out.

Were these on the 11th /17th Russ? Bloody parllel fairways, I always make a mess of these two drives.

Andy, One was the 11th, ended up on 10th fairway. The other was 10th where I ended up on 11th green (how far right was that).

The most frustrating shot to me is the downhill, left to right putt of about 8-16 feet. I can never judge how much it will fall away, and seem to leak the ball right & short.

kingshankly,

I think you have just described the game of golf. You're not going to get perfect lies, good bounces and you will make errors in selection and execution. Its the nature of the beast and its how you overcome these obstacles that dictates how you play the game.

For me it's the soggy ground around the greens at this time of the year that just leaps up and grabs the club on those 15 foot chips, leaving a clump of mud on the club and a stain on the scorecard.

My usual bad shot is caused by my left arm moving on the downswing - think putting stroke (wing), this does not allow me to turn the hands over and causes a MASSIVE slice.

I worked hard to get rid of it but every now and again it rares its head and I put one OOB distroying my confidence and my round.
I hate to see this happen as it normally takes me a few rounds to commit to the shot and totally knackers me up.
This really is frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!

Has to be the shank or thinned chip when around the green. Both kill your confidence and then the next time you miss a green the pressure builds. I am shanking my chips big time at the moment but I'm trying to keep calm and patient and wait for my next short game lesson

agree 100%
