I bought a £10k 3 series touring (estate to normal folk) and up until today I might have recommended it on many levels.
As it's now stuck at the garage and I won't be getting it back until I walk in there with the best part of a grand in used readies, I shan't ever buy or recommend one ever again.
The Octavia (which my cousin bought for for £7k in the same week) looks worse, is completely value-free now and is a horrible in every respect I can think of.
So, I'd not be recommending either.
As for me, the old Mitsubishi Galant estate is off the drive and back on the road.
Next time (if there is one) it'll be back to Honda, Toyota or Mitsubishi and the rest of the known car making universe can "do one" permanently.
Here it is, next to my daughter's Barbie scooter and another piece of motoring junk.
