I don't mind people using the phone or talking at the range, or noise in general. 10-15 people hitting various clubs, mostly drivers, it's not a quiet place anyway. But I do hate those idiots who quite obviously love to let everyone else know what they're talking about.
I'd advocate the earphones and music at the range. Helps me concentrate so much more. I like the fact that the ranges I do visit are quite social, people are relaxed when practising, have a quiet chat and wander about. Playing a round with distractions is annoying, I don't want to feel like I do on the course when someone talks on the downs wing, when I'm on the range. I'd never go.
