Just come back from the range. Probably 25 users quietly hitting ball then one idiot starts using his mobile on hand free with his large white earpiece.

We could all hear the loud conversation which was a running commentary on his 'hits'. He then rang another mate and repeated the conversation and - then yet another!!

This went on for about 20mins with virtually everyone staring at him.

Hugely distracting what's your take on mobile use on the range?

No issue with it as long as people are quite about it and its a quick call. Its not like a range should be deadly quite like on the course. I use my phone on the range for videos and for music with earphones and have never had an issue.

Same as at any public place, train etc. No, no, no. Self absorbed people who want to seem important. I am dreading the spread of mobiles on planes.

If you want to take or make a call then move away from the bays so that you are not disturbing anyone.

The phone's not the issue, to be honest, it's just a lack of consideration for others which plenty of people exhibit with or without a phone. Pretty easy to make a discrete call without being a nuisance.

It falls into the inconsiderate category, but in the same way that noisy use of a phone does pretty much everywhere.

People smoking on the range annoy me more than noisy people though.

are you sure its wasn't Dom Jolly filming his new show??

HELLO, YES I'M AT A DRIVING RANGE.... NO ITS CRAP..:rofl:

Who cares. The range is for everyone and is often quite noisy.

don't go to the driving range at The 02 then. its noisy and the majority of the people there are just pissing about and drinking.

No issues with the use of mobilie phones - it's just the people who use them!
But to be honest - I don't know why it should annoy anyone - just get on with your stuff! To be fair its a driving range - there's always noise and I be fair I would welcome distractions as it will help you hit your shots under more pressure!

just because its for everyone doesn't mean you cant be considerate. no one like to hear another person's conversation when at the range or on the course. i except that the range is different. however, simply answer your call and get it over with or step outside if you want a 20 minute chat. its about being a decent person

Same logic as on the train. Just don't use the stupid handsfree microphone on your earbuds, speak directly into it and odds are you won't be ruining everybody elses time

It is inconsiderate, but there are a lot of inconsiderate people in the world.

I normally stick my headphones on when i'm at the range nowadays anyway, practice doesn't need to be in a silent enviroment, plus it drowns out the conversations in the bays next door when the guy whose never hit a ball before is telling his kid how to hit a ball.

Richard Cranium turns up when you least expect it...

Some people are so self absorbed, they don't realise or care that their behaviour is annoying to others.

This sums it up perfectly
