I'm running our version of the Ryder Cup in two weeks time and we'll have some matches that will be mixed, pairs and individual.

Reading the CONGU recommendations there will be no need to allocate extra shots as both SSS are one above par and then if following the recommendation that we use a single par and SI it would mean on our 9th (SI 3 on shortest tees card) the Ladies play it as a par 5, am I'm right in thinking the men also play it as a par 5 ?

Cheers.

For match play it is recommended that all players play using a single par and SI.

CONGU recommend that this should be the forward set (shortest) of tees.

This should have minimal effect for two reasons:

1. Players rarely play their best (or worst) golf on the holes where they get a shot

2. When players don't get a shot where they should it means they do get a shot where they shouldn't.
