The sadness of MJ is one thing, his antics in recent times are another, I can listen to him and admire his music and past performing tallent but the guy is just someone I dont like anymore and dont want to watch, I dont like stupid people and someone who squanders away one of the richest veins of wealth known to man, is stupid.

Say what you like....Michael Jackson was/is one of the greatest musical talents we'll ever see. OK he's a bit whacky and has made lots of stupid mistakes in his private life but let's face it...he hasn't had a "normal" upbringin has he? His singing/dancing abilities are second to none. Let's not take that away from him.
I went to see him at Wembley Stadium in the 80's. Absolutely phenomenal (sp?) performance, and if I thought one of his latest gigs would be as good as that I would go at the drop of a hat. The guy (musically) is a genius.

Did you hear the bit at the end when his voice goes slightly deep?

I half expected an alien to emerge after crawling out through his mouth.

What do you mean an alien to emerge.... he is an alien...rofl

But getting back ontopic for a second. For a fan of Wacko, most will see it as a last chance to see him perform so will jump at the opertunity to flex their plastic to see him for that last chance.

Personally I'drather see Tina Turner any day of the week, whether she's over 70 or not. She's a better performer end of.

Not long ago saw Jethro Tull. Now Ian Anderson does strugle with the one leg stuff these days, but I recon his voice is better than ever & Martin Barre's guitar playing just get better & louder.

This is the thing with fans of any artist, there will always be an outpour of forgiveness for them, in this case, forgiveness for his upbringing??? did he have a harder time than Tina Turner??? dont think so, yet she hasnt dangled a baby out of a window, started psychological confusion in the manner she raises her kids, got involved in law suits instigated for very very serious reasons involving minors, nor has she slept with a chimp (well some could argue)or had more plastic surgery than John Merrick could wish for now has she?
MJ was a great performer, produced some great records, but he's a dick!

HNJ, Michael couldn't leave his family home as kid, Tina could have left Ike any time she wanted, the fact is he made her! now i dont agree with wife beating, of course I dont.... however he was a musical genius aswell and made Tina what she is. I'm sure she'd admit that.

Where would Tina Turner be if she said "hit me again Ike, and this time put some stank on it" Rolling on the River, thats where she'd be.

Name the film that line is from???

I am staggered that 1m people have registered an interest in 200k tickets. So 800k will be disappointed. So about 1 in 7 has registered. Blimey. They have all gone mad.

If this was Gary Glitter (note the similarities), I don't think you would get the turn out.

No Minty, he controlled her, forced her to sing what he wanted, blew all the cash, when she left him after the last beating she had nothing, no money, no royalties (everything went to him) and she made Tina Turner as a single artist herself, he continued to beg for money from her success afterwards.

Yeah, but Elton John gets a good turn out & he's one of them too.

My comments come from books and other references, Im not on open uni course, Im on a Golf forum, so I dont need to ref every comment I make, If you believe me, thats fine, if you dont, thats fine too, I dont need to offer subtle ridicule, though I could have a field day over MJ and fans, its not important enough for me to bother. ;)

Woh there! I'm having a joke mate, not sure how serious you're taking this as its hard to tell on a forum.

I'm guessing by the wink at the end that your response was in jest however i was simply stating that I dont know the ins and outs, infact i know very little about the whole Tina Turner story.
