I played both these courses this weekend. Botley Park Saturday and Meon Sunday. Both were nice courses, I shot 84 with 37 points round Botley, got cut two shots for Sunday and shot 86 with 32 points round Meon.

Botley Park was by far the best looking course, so well kept, neat fringes, tidy greens and good conditions fairways. It didn't rain but was windy and cold. Meon suffers worse from the wet it seems, leaves everywhere, wet soggy fairways, poor greens (pitch marks not replaced after massive high pitches) and two temp greens, having looked at the two greens which were out of action they seemed to have less water than some that were still in play.

Overall I think in better conditions Meon would be a nicer course, harder and tighter. Botley was fairly open and not too much danger off the tee. But in these conditions Botley just wins somply for being better condition and looking nicer.
