Its a cracking track IMO

Have you played it before?

Give me a shout if you have any questions mate. Im just starting my 2nd year
Cheers for that..Yes played Chorley before..Nice track.Shaw Hill is the other i am looking at..Wish Accrington was a little nearer.Love it there..Currently across the road from you, down Wigan Lane.

im 20 minutes away from my club by car, and i pass it on the way home from work most days so summer evenings are easy

there is a club 5 mins from home but i'm happy to travel 20 mins due to the quality of the courses at my club

don't think i would like to travel much more than that from home tbh

Sounds the same for me.

I have lived 5 minutes from my course for 57 years now & wouldn't want to travel a lot more. So handy for practice & summer evenings. and the driving range is 3 minutes in the opposite direction. I'm spoilt, really.

I joined the best course I could afford, that was reasonablely close. Takes 15-25 minutes depending on the traffic. It is definitely worth a bit of a drive for a better course. There are two courses within 2 minute drive, but I wouldn't want to play them regularly.

I'm 10 mins with no traffic, 15 if it's busy.

Furthest I've ever been was 30 minutes from my home, but it was 5 minutes from my office so was able to call in regularly after work.

Unless it was for a top class course, and play was regularly pretty quick, I wouldn't be keen on much about 20 minutes now.

I think where you work is a big factor too. I'm about 15 mins away but the course is almost half way between work and home so for all the games after work it's at no nett cost!

If I was looking to move I don't think I'd like to go much further afield but would consider courses very close to work such as St Annes Old Links, Fairhaven or even Royal Lytham should I ever get into sado masochism!

2 mins to get to current club by car.

I wouldnt want want to travel further than 15/20 mins if anything happened at current club. Location is important to me as I like to be able to just go up for an hours practice if I feel like it.

1hr 15mins away. Reason being it's the course near where my Dad lives and it's great to spend quality time with 'the old man' on a Saturday morning. i practice at local range that is only 15mins from my house. Summer evening golf is spent at other courses near where I work.

not everyone's cup of tea but as dear old dad is still able to play that's my priority!

Good man, it's not about the travel, it's the reward at the other end.

5-7 minutes travelling time to my club.

15 minutes is the max that I would consider for another club and there are another 6 courses available within that time frame.

about 20 miles door to door, takes about half an hour.

Championship links and the best course apart from Royal Dornoch, which is a good Hour. But Nairn i can play when i like, which wouldn't be the case at RD

If RD was the same distance of an extra 10 minutes, would you be tempted?

Choose either Shaw Hill or Chorley and you get to play both during Mayors Cup weekend anyway. If your Wigan Lane side, then Hall Oth' Hill would def be the one to join purely for traffic. Can take a while getting through Chorley sometimes.

7 or 8 mins from house 15mins from work, handy for evenings, wish I stayed within 1/2hr of a good links course, had a country membership at Leven Links but at just over an hour each way I didn't play often enough to keep it going.
