There is a difference between fire in the belly and petulance in my opinion.
Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.

Matt Wallace is a 1st class 🔔🔚
There's having passion then there's just acting like a cock and to me that's how he comes across. Launching his 7 iron into ground for the Caddy to retrieve and damaging the course, then grabbing the Caddy, absolutely bang out of order. He's lucky he didn't get one stuck on him.
Swear, have a hissy fit whatever but to behave like he has today and recently is to far and should be dealt with harshly.
This is the worst quote in sport. It provides an excuse for petulance, bad behaviour, unprofessionalism.Show me a good loser and I'll show you a loser.
The caddie literally has zero reaction to it though, so I highly doubt it was a 'punch to the ribs'. Surely any caddie that gets punched by their player is walking off the course as that would be ridiculous.
Doesn’t really show anything does it
The point is (and post #23 you want say "are there other videos") he is now getting a hard time on social media for what at best seems inconclusive and a non-event and at worse akin to what Spieth did and the way players (Seve being perhaps the most obvious example) have spoke to caddies for decades. If they want to work on a good bag and earn good money they'd be a fool to make anything of it and as there is such a social media circus forming I am sure the ET and the players committee will look at it and speak to Wallace. Why we need any other evidence to try and confirm what happened seems meaningless and what is it going to prove to the golf fan other than Wallace has a temper and treats his caddy poorlyDoesn’t really show anything does it
Matt Wallace is being battered all over social media at the moment based on him talking to his caddy ( the actual words being said are unknown ) , and a pulling of the bib or punch in the ribs ?!
But right now the actual “evidence†is not really conclusive enough for him to be getting the flack he is , it seems it’s no different to what we saw from Spieth last week
That's fine, but if he's willing to put up with it to make coin, who are we to get irate on his behalf? He is free to walk away if it's not acceptable. If he doesn't walk away then he deems it acceptable. It's that simple.Their are varying degrees of a punch. I seriously doubt whatever it was, was done with any intent to hurt the caddie. He wouldn't be that stupid. It was a poor expression of frustration.
Asking the caddie is pointless imo. If he wants to continue working with Matt (a profitable bag to have just now) then he has nothing to benefit from this. The verbal abuse is bad enough (but a well known occupational hazard for a lot of these guys), the mild 'whatever' else this was will just get filed away.

How can you compare this to an abused spouse?? What a joke. His caddie has caddied for several top players over the years, he could easily walk away and get employment elsewhere. Unless you are suggesting Wallace has power over him, because the caddie's love for him is so strong?Sorry Orikou, that's nonsense. Abuse in any form, physical, verbal or emotional should be called out always. Just because a person is happy to stay with their abuser doesn't make it right (be it spousal, employer, parental etc). Turning a blind eye isn't an option.

It doesn't show anything???
Did Spieth use/show any physical aggression to his caddy?
