Is your golfing gear a perfect match or individual?

Are you a Ping bag, Ping irons, Ping woods, driver and putter golfer or do you have a right assortment in your bag?

I'm an assorted golfer at present and will probably continue to be so.
Taylor Made Putter, Mizzy irons, Wilson bag, crap woods and driver (hoping to replace soon!) :)

Bit of a mish mash.

Titleist Woods, wedges and balls,
Mizuno irons,
Odyssey putter and
Ogio bag.

No one manufacturer makes everything perfectly, in my mind.

My bag is like a pick n mix; I gave up matching clubs a while ago.....
I guess if I was starting from scratch with no upper limit on budget....

did match when i very first started playing seriously but soon got shot of the irons putter and driver, kept the fairway woods and rescue though and i love em,as you can see from below i am now a mix and matcher.if i could find everything i liked in one brand i would have no problem in looking like a "staff" player.

Started off with everything the same, Wilson Di7 irons, DH6 hybrid, DD6 driver and Wilson putter and bag. rapidly changed bits and pieces to finally reach the eclectic collection I have now.

The one thing I have done, though not always conciously, is to move away from the expensive brands as I have found the cheaper names suit my game just as well and at the rate i change kit it saves me a fortune.

Clubs as per signature below all contained in a Nike Cart Bag. Have a Nike Gore Tex Baseball cap, great piece of equipment especially in the rain when you wear glasses.

Pulsar Electric Trolley carry the gear around the course.
Shoes two pair-Nike & Adidas.
Current ball Titleist PTS Carry.

I have Cleveland woods (Had already got the driver and 3 and HID has just bought me the 5 as a surprise present). I have R7 irons and have got a Tayolmade bag to go with them with a TM umbrella and towel as well. My putter is an Odyssey.

I am in the market for a new bag as theis one only has four main pockets and I am one of those who preferes a lot more for my various bit (and room for waterproofs, spare towels and gloves etc when wet). I'm split between a TM Phantom bag to go with my irons etc or something else.

In the old days I use to have a set of Fat shaft woods and matching irons and so decided to get the full Wilson ensemble including bag, towel, umbrella, cap and shirts.

I went through something similar with my old Callaway X14's and had matching bag and accessories and I kind of feel I want to go the same way with TM. I'm one of those people who like a certain symmetary and seem to always have the irons and bag to match. Its not because I want to look overly flash as my golf game soon dispels any myth about me being a good golfer. I was bought up on the look good, play good school of thought

I was starting to lean heavily towards all Taylormade gear having got a driver, bag, umbrella, towel etc until I realised I could not get on with their irons as well as other brands so I just thought to hell with it and got the ping irons. I use whatever works best for me, and I think that even if I was going to buy a whole new set with an unlimited budget I would avoid buying all the same equipment, because as others have said no company is perfect each have their plus points in different categories and I would hunt around to find the best driver, 5 wood 3 wood, hybird, irons and putter for my game even if they were all different brands. There is no taking away from the fact that it looks great having everything matching but to be honest you have to have the game to match it in my opinion and I do not, so until that lucrative sponsorship deal comes from Titleist I will stick to my mixture.

I have a mixture of gear, however i seem to lean towards Callaway for no real reason except i like their gear, and when testing seems to suit me.

Most tour players dont use all the same gear, even Woods uses a Scotty/Titleist putter. I think you should choose what works for you, not the name.

I am looking at some AP1's which may mean a bag change etc!!

I was 90% matching until my Titleist ephiphany last week. At the minute its still predominantly Nike stuff - bag, 3 wood, hybrid, irons. I've just bought a Titleist 905T driver with the awesome YS6 Stiff Shaft in it after realising what a cheap peice of tat the Sumo SQ is tho - seriously what is that Diamana shaft meant to be? a real floppy C8*k of a shaft. I have an old rusty Wilson Staff SW that desperately needs replacing and a cheap putter that I'm sticking with.....Tell you what, I feel very drawn to the Taylor Made RAC Muscle Back TP Irons. My Nikes are 2nd hand and probably have a year left in them but after that, I will treat myself to a brand new, custom built set of spanners. Think I'm gonna replace the Wilson Wedge with a RAC or Vokey Oilcan next month too.
Oh and my ball is fluctuating between Nike ONE when I'm rich, ProV1/1x and the new Wilson Dx2 Soft which I have to say is the most impressive new golf ball that I've tried in all my life - I can't believe a distance ball feels as soft as this - has to be tried to be believed.

What? You'll buy new irons, so you have to change the bag?

I can't recall ever seeing someone with a totally matching set that included a putter, putters are the most individual of clubs so usually people play with what suits them, next would be the wedges followed by driver which would be most likely to be not matching.

Anyway, here's my hotch potch collection

Bag - Nike
Driver - Callaway
Woods - Ping
Irons/hybrid - Mizuno
SW/LW - Mizuno & Ram
Putter - Taylor Made
Balls - Titleist or Maxfli
Shoes - Footjoy
Tees - Wooden
Marker - $5 poker chip, MGM Grand, Las Vegas
