Why does ticketing arrangements, qualification criteria and the fact that not anyone and everyone can play the course mean that it shouldn't be a major?
You just said it's probably your favourite tournament of the year, is that not in itself more of a reason to be a major than all of the three you said that meant it shouldn't be?
Yeah I quite agree, I think it should be me who decides which events are majors
The TPC is also a great event to watch in my opinion but many many people don't think it should be a major (myself included) as it hasn't got the history.
The Masters field is too small and selective, how can it be taken seriously when there are guys in their 50's and 60's taking spots that could be filled by potential winners? Can't see Sandy Lyle winning again or Mize, Weir, Singh, Woods (in current health) or Tom Watson.
And do you think the ticketing arrangements are fair?
