Making golf shoes more comfortable

I used to be a sales advisor at Homebase on the kitchens and bathrooms department and my feet would ache after a long 8 hour shift. I'm on a placement in a design consultancy ATM and sitting at a desk is far better ;)

Go and see someone who can assess your feet and make you a pair of custom insoles (I say this a ski boot fitter, but its the same for anything) Sounds like you might have problematic feet such as high arches or issues with pronation. Go to a good running shop or sports shop who can make custom insoles, well worth the money.

My feet can get quite sore too. I would advise wearing a quality pair of socks, and changing to a comfortable insole. Both can be bought from one of those outdoor/hiking/climbing shops. Buy a lightweight pair of socks that are intended to go in walking boots, and a cusioned insole.

OP here, thanks guys for all the advice. I'm certainly going to look into an extra pair of insoles, I think this will possibly help my feet. Thanks again!

i've been looking into this as all of my golf shoes (i've been rotating 3-4 pairs in recent months) are wearing really heavily on the outer studs - literally having to change it every 4rounds of so!

will pop into a local running shop tommorow and get GAIT tested.

This ^^^^^. If the OP has a pronation problem, buying the most expensive shoes available is not going to solve his problem. I have a pair of Sorbothane Pro insoles for basketball and they have relieved a lot of aches I use to have.
