I have a fairly decent pair of golf shoes; Nike Air Rivals from about a year or two ago. I'm finding that my feet become absolutely battered by about the 14th hole prompting me to loose my concentration a bit in the last few holes.

Just wondered if you guys have found any ways to make your feet last the round. Our course doesn't have buggies so that's out of the question haha! I did consider some gel insoles that might provide some more padding......

I have the odd pair or two and find that as the conditions get firmer, my feet get sore and achy if I use some of the more robust ones (icons) and so tend to bring out the lighter models. If you need padding, it sounds as though they aren't fitting properly and I'd be thinking about another pair (budget permitting of course). Otherwise it's a problem that won't go away

Cheers Homer! I'm only 22 and I'm complaining of feet pain....... this doesn't bode well! The course was incredibly firm today so perhaps that might be one of the reasons. I may look into a lighter/spikeless pair too!

Go for lighter shoes and currently at the moment go spikeless

you must have a medical issue I'm assuming as we're talking 14 holes of golf here.

Get adizero's or ECCO for extreme comfort, or maybe a check at the docs first

Yep we are talking 14 holes of golf here. I appreciate you are walking for a good four hours or so, but my feet just feel mashed afterwards! They can hurt for a day or so after if we play one of our local courses in particular which is quite hilly compared to others!

Does sound like there may be something more going on than just poor fitting shoes. Do you struggle being on your feet for long periods other than golf?

Get proper sports socks like Footjoy , don't buy the cheap versions and you will find a big difference, and they last for years.

And you don't really need to get them fitted.

I reckon its just poor shoes. I find in hot weather my AQL's can make my feet hurt whereas my lunars and adicross are like slippers.

The AQL's are much better in winter however.

Personally I would go adicross 2's as I have a pair and they are great for driving to the course & range aswell :D

Nike lunar or addizero which are on sale at sports direct at mo at 40 quid.mandmdirect doing the old lunars for 35quid as well which are still the most comfy shoes I have!

I used to be a sales advisor at Homebase on the kitchens and bathrooms department and my feet would ache after a long 8 hour shift. I'm on a placement in a design consultancy ATM and sitting at a desk is far better ;)

I have the Ecco Biom's. Recently bought and the first round they tore my heels to shreds which happens alot for me and new shoes so was expected.

A few weeks off and worn then 2 rounds and 2 days in the trot and they're extremely comfortable - and one major difference is how 'less sweaty' my feet are impaired to my footjoy's.

But...they are a very expensive shoe but I know I'll get the wear out of em!

I'd get the old plates looked at. At your age they shouldn't hurt as much as they seem to. Wait until you get to some of the vintages on here

No, the two shoes you mentioned, as I specifically said adicross II were great for the price, and you mentioned gripmores that are almost 3 times more expensive.
Sorry didn't see you meant Adicross 2 -
