Making a round qualifying...

I refer the Honourable Gentleman to my previous statement...
If the Members are OK with the way things are done so it doesn't get reported to the Union, what, in reality, can be done about it?
If you believe that your club's following the rules is the honourable and honest thing to do, then tell them. I You feel strongly enough speak to your national union.
But ask them the question, do they require their members to play qualifiers under the rules of golf?

It may be "prohibited" but it also works well for some clubs, so much so they dont want to change their comps to fit the rules as the comps are what their members both know and want

It's not difficult to make the comp an 'over 2 days' one and still fit in with Congu rules!

It seems to me that it's more 'ignorance and belligerence' that causes clubs to think that 'they' are the handicap authorities for their members! Another example of tht dreaded condition - 'committee-itis'!

And how do you do it for a midweek comp over 5 days (or 7 in winter) that gets 30-50 runners spread over the week?

By the letter of the rules there must be a separate CSS for each day
