Magazine Content Forum meets - need your views

Happy to do a quick report on the Alwoodley meet if that helps.

Just ask all organisers to try and get some decent picks and a short report from there events,
Then maybe publish a few photos from various meets and pick 1 or 2 reports depending on quality.
So each event could get a few words and a photo or just a photo.

Or get those playing to take some pics and write some short reports. Perhaps the organisers have done their bit ?

As an an organiser, we have done our bit, but we will also be the ones with all the information, so whether we do it ourselves or ask someone is down to us,

Thanks everyone. PJ you've always been a great help on pulling content together :thup:

I think there is perhaps too much of a heavy onus on the forum meet organiser and I can empathise with richart. I've organised a couple of meets myself and there's so much going on in the build up to the event and on the day. Most of the time your own golf suffers and before you know it the whole thing is over! It would be great if one or two people other than the organiser took ownership of the mag content. I don't need a massive write up just a few words on
- the course
- the weather
- the result (1-3 scores and NTP + Long drive if there is one)
- one or two anecdotes
- a couple of good quality high res pictures

Thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions. I'm going to try where possible to reference the meets that take place and will give preference to those with the best content/photos so if you want to be in the mag you'll need to get scribbling and snapping

Thanks all My next copy deadline is Tuesday 24th March and I like to finalise copy over the weekend before :thup:

One other thought, it might be nice for future events if as many of the Golf Clubs we use could be mentioned, especially if they've done us good deals, it could be a decent bargaining tool for future organisers.

Always mention the name of the club in the review but happy to make special mention of support if you let me know about it
