Just wondered if anyone fances an away day towards the end of Feb at the world famous Machrihanish. The greens and the course are still excellent ands the green fees at that time of year make it a fantastic trip.

Even if only 3, preferably 4 people were interested its a case of jumping in a car and heading down. Well worth the trip. Early start, bacon roll, 18 superb links holes, spot of lunch and a leisurely drive home.

Don't take the lack of replies personally. Organising anything on here takes some doing!

Usual excuse for me I'm afraid (time & dosh).

But I would like to make more of an effort to see more of you guys this year, though the arrival of number 2 in April will probably put a kybosh on it!! (I know what's good for me really!)

Long way for a game at this time of year. Its a good 3.5hr trip via Arrochar from Glasgow. 140 miles. You get to Ardrishaig and there's still 45-50 miles to go. Roads aren't that great further south you go from memory. Marvelous course once you get there though.

Just remember that there are a few of us going to Goswick late Feb so there might have been some interest if we were not already committed elsewhere.

I would have loved to have joined you Craw but with a 1000+ mile round trip taking 3 days including the golf, I think that I will give it a miss this time. If it hadn't been February though......

Yes forgot about Goswick, you guys enjoy. I will make the brave solo trip again. I did it last year and had a really enjoyable day, played 2 balls most of the way round, practiced my chipping and enjoyed putting on awesome greens for the time of the year.
