Lowering the senior age from 55yrs down to 50 years old

I've wondered about the disparity between the Pros at 50, 55 at some clubs and 60 at others.

I played with some low handicap early 20 somethings this week. I felt blooming ancient!!

Logically you are right. I think the rest of the world are working when our Senior Stuff goes on.

What annoys me about out Seniors Section is that they seem to want to corale everyone into whatever they have going on on a particular day.

I kind of see it both ways. Sometimes it's just nice to get a group of old farts (or young whippersnappers) together. Sometimes a group of younger folks won't want to play with limping, tee hunting, "where's my ball?" old people. I'm a BIG fan of having a blocked time for seniors during the week, my old club did and it was VERY well supported.

55 at ours, however pride is stopping the lads in our fuddle going off the yellow tees. Tash is 60 next month and am off the yellows period. Ave a feeling a few more will follow me.
