My word this game is frustrating! At the moment I am loving my short game. The hours of effort, adjustment, tinkering, persistence, endeavour and devotion are starting to pay dividends... :D

...on the flip side my shot shape is causing me no end of problems, especially in recent blustery conditions. :)

So what do you love about your golf game right now, what is driving you to distraction and do you have a planned remedy?

To answer: nothing, everything, no.

It's a bad busines at the moment, and that's for sure!
 
On Saturday I loved just about every aspect of it. Shot shape was better, ball striking was more consistent and my approach shots were accurate.

Chipping and putting still need some work but I felt comfortable and relaxed chipping onto the green where I'm usually quite rigid. Putting started off terrible and got better.

Went to the range on Monday and save a few chunked shots, I was still hitting a nice ball with the majority of my clubs.

This will, of course, all go away come Sunday and Monday at Camberley and Blackmoor where I'll inevitably play like an absolute knob. :mad:
 
Just gone there myself, following two weeks of threatening to break 80, last night I lost 4 balls in two holes :o

My driver is wild slice or hooked, my irons are thinned or hooked and my putter puts the fear of dark places into my ball!

Days, just DAYS after I sank pretty much everything inside 5 feet, drove almost every fairway and couldnt miss a green with anything iron shaped!

So when do I go back to golf?? Tonight night of course :D
 
I feel your pain Tiger. At the moment my putting is woeful and costing me far too many shots but my ball striking is very good indeed. Have been working on my putting and short game and tonight will be my first round since last week so hoping to see some improvement. Unfortunately the weather keeps getting in the way of my practice time as whenever I am free it starts to chuck it down :mad:
 
Good question,
At this moment my putting inside 3/4 feet is woefull,and my driver hardly ever comes out the bag as i havnt a clue where its going.
On the plus side my 3 wood is going well,and my pitching is giving me lots of birdie oppotunitys,so all in all im fairly pleased.
I think if i can inprove my putting i will be back down to single figures.
I hope Bob can give me a free driving lesson,and i may walk away with a v-easy :) :)
 
Irons are all over the place at the moment.

Played (and lost) in the matchplay last night. Driving very well, chipping and putting OK but irons I just can't seem to keep a consistent tempo with. Doing my t*ts in!

May actually have to scrub my "no practice" and get up the practice ground with the irons for a few hours.
 
I definitly need to get some extra yardage from the teebox
I'm pleased with my iron play and my putting is okay,but
my driving is no good,I find the fairway but the distance is
poor,Im off on holiday a week on saturday,so Im hoping to get 1 or 2 lessons and find some distance.
 
Come on Aztecs if my half swing 3 wood can outdrive your custom fit R11 i think its you who needs the lesson.

Over the moon with my putting at the moment, but my long game isn't a patch on what it was 12 months ago.

My plan? Just wait for it to come back.

Glad to see your playing well and happy with your game mate,always nice to be going in the right direction.
As you can see im moving the opposite way at the moment,however i feel some good just around the corner,maybe next week.Maybe a fiver sidebet is in order :)

Similar to you Tiger. My short game has improved greatly due to all the hours I have put in but my ball striking has suffered a bit due to neglect. My putting has improved due to a few hours with Bobs Giant Chopsticks.

2nd round of the Rabbits knockout tomorrow so I hope my scoring game continues to thrive.
 
I'm hitting a lovely 3 wood off the tee at the moment , high and long. My putting is frustrating me as I just cant quite get the results my approach play deserves , they keep lipping out or shaving the hole.

My driving has gone off totally since I left my last club. You needed driver on about 11-13 holes there but my new place you maybe need it 4-5 times. Consequently i've not got any control off the tee with driver.
 
I'm playing like an utter knob lately.

Average 5 blobs per round, some good stuff in-between.

Played today inthe rain and didn't even get 25 points.

BUT

I am playing golf, no one is shooting at me and I'm home for dinner so fook it, I'll take it and say thanks.
