Lost property

I don't opten find things on the course but when I do I hand them in. I have lost a headcover a number of times and it has always come back to me so far.

At my club, there is a lost property area in the locker room. I have always wondered what would happen with a wedge. Most people use Vokeys at my club and can't help but think that it would be very easy to keep what you find. Alternatively, leaving it in the locker room, someone dishonest could help themselves.

I lost my GPS in a club comp once, didn't get handed in. However, the area I lost it was close to the car park and range so I presume some bounder decided to get a little light fingered. As someone on here said 'may he be using it in the club championship with a good score and on the last it tells him it's 100 yards to clear the water...and it's actually 120...'

Karma will come around and get these people, but occasionally it needs a nudge!

Have always handed in anything found, have lost my putter headcover too many times to mention, but someone has always handed it in.

Had an odd experience playing away in a mixed open last year.

A third of the way round, one of my PPs noticed he didn't have his sandwedge in the bag. Concluding that he must have left it on the practice area he decided to pop into the pro-shop as we went past it after the 9th to see if anyone had handed it in.

The good news was, it was there, but he was quite suprised to find it for sale in the shops "bargain bin"!!!!

couldnt to make it up! Don't know if I would be more annoyed with it being on sale oe that it was in the bargain bin.

My FiL took his watch off at the range and left it there and it was never handed in. Was a Cartier Of some sort so worth a few ££'s. Wonder if they'd have kept a cr@ppy beaten up Casio!

So wrong. Apart from sticking things on ebay, I can't imagine these people have the Kahunas to start wearing your jacket for fear of you spotting them in it and challenging/battering them.

Unless its got your name stitched in it (a bit childish?) then how are they going to tell if its 'your' jacket? Shops tend to sell more than one jacket, in the same style/size. Bit of a silly thing to do in the first case anyway, lose a brand new jacket....

indeed it was, I'm furious with myself

To be fair, I don't know exactly where I lost it, I turned the house upside down looking for it at first, but I'm 99.9% sure it was either at Owston Hall or Sandhill. Owston Hall being the more likely as it was start stop rain all day.... I've checked at both multiple times now and nothings been handed in.

Absolutely a great jacket though, the Cocona material is really soft, silent, totally waterproof and breathable - I'd buy another (and look after it more carefully!!!!!)
