Losing weight/fitness thread

Long easy run today, meant to be 11 miles at 12-12:30 pace per mile, freezing, bitterly cold, hat, gloves the lot.

With warm up and cool down ran just over 12 miles, 11 miles was done in 10:32 avg per mile. And that felt slow enough.🥶🥶

I went out after work at 4, just utterly miserable. Cold, dark and wet, not so long ago it was too hot and I was moaning about that. Done 7 miles and sat on the radiator for a bit.

I started at around 11:45-12:00 min pace for the first few miles, but I was freezing and bored! Despite having my headphones on.

Decided to up the pace, a, so I could warm up and b, get home quicker😂😂
 
Went out again at 4.30, to do another 7 miler.

Wind and rain started half way through, and it got me thinking to what I used to eat when I was 22 stone...the favourite being;

4 sausages
4 fish fingers
Mash
Gravy
Carrots (for the health benefits)

Was probably happier then too. Anyway, went over 1200 miles for the year today.
 
Yesterday was a Pyramid interval session hit all the reps, last evening pretty hard. Runna recommended that I increase the plan last week and it’s definitely tougher 🤪

Worst part of these sessions for me is the rest part, I get cold very quickly and want to start running again!
 
Goal Pace repeats today, 800m x 6 at 8:55-9:15 pace.
Another cold breezy but bright day along the seafront, so layered up again. Just over 58 minutes covering around 5.6 miles.
Was a little disappointed when I compared it to previous same session until I realised the programme had added another interval.
