Losing weight/fitness thread

5K - Training plan this morning, 5 minute warm up, 1 mile run walk run, 5 minute cool down.😱

Did that then continued to 5 mile.

Such a weird session, really didn’t fancy going out in the cold for less than 18 minutes.
Today’s session was a repeat of the above from sunday, so decided to do same 5 mile.

The session itself, run/walk 1 mile:

Sunday - ran 4 minutes, walked 30 secs - time for mile was 8:17

Today - ran 3 minutes, walked 30 secs - time for was 8:07.

Next time I’ll try run 2 minutes, walk 30 secs and see the difference, if any.

Overall today was 2mins 40 faster than sunday, which is pleasing as I didn’t mentally race myself.

Weight holding steady 2lb off in just under 2 weeks.

That is 2550 press ups done with 3 days to spare, enjoyable enough challenge.
Debating an easy run tonight, slow pace just to test the hamstring / groin…..
That’s 11 days since a run or cycle(peloton).
Be careful mate, not worth making it worse or setting yourself back.

Whats this press up challenge?

I've been doing at least 50 a day since some time in late November. Its just routine now. I break them up over the evening and quite often do 10 as soon as I get up.

You noticed any visible results?

I started doing 100 a day a few years back and kept it up for a month or so before dying off. Would like to start again, but the first few weeks are hard as I'm doing 10 (bad ones) at a time and having to spread them out, so finding quiet places in the office to try and get some done during the day haha.

I can see some difference yeah. I've done over 100 at times but that seemed a bit of a stretch for me at the time.
Im doing a daily exercise set by someone's in works trainer too. Gets the full body worked out over the week.
I call this type of work bite size exercise. Much more sustainable than the thought of 3×1hr a week at the gym.

I have seen a lot of ads recently for fitness where they do your blood works . I hadn't heard of this before , anyone know much about it / had it done ?

I had it done a few years back, Fitness Genes i think the company was. Looked at the results and recommendations and then never looked at it again. Wasn't worth it for me.
