Losing weight/fitness thread

Well apart from the irritation I’ve posted about the new layout, today was a really productive gym session. Speed and power work, doing a deadlift double type EMOM but in the 2 min mark for 20mins. So worked out to be 10 sets, the into some plyo stuff and core bits .

Slowly getting the my worth back up, scales show I’m at 74kg now, need to add another 4kg to be where I want to be after a tough winter. Shower and coffeee time then off for a driver fitting 😍

First physio session today, and no more running for me. At least not until I start a load of gym work to build up knee strength and support. Bloomin osteoarthritis diagnosis.

On a plus side, looks like I can get a cheap gym membership due to my diagnosis.

Although I can't to running training now, I've still sort of asked him if I can still do the Lincoln 10K if I promise to run really really slowly. He hasn't ruled it our completely, and we'll review it in a couple of weeks. But I could tell he really wanted to just say no.

It'll still be there next year mate, not worth it. Rest up and get it sorted.

Hope every forumite is doing well. I think back to lots of meets very fondly (King of Kings; various Forest Pines trips and Gainsborough etc) and many local bounce games.

That said, in all honesty I haven’t had any notion to hit a golf ball since I stopped 4/5 years ago.

I’m very much plugged into the world of ultramarathons ‘enjoying’ races from 30 to 50 miles at a time, with a big goal race this year to run the 95 West Highland Way. This completely replaced my golf obsession.

Half the weight I was when I last teed up too! Being a slow average runner is a much better fit for me than being a heavy rubbish golfer. The only downside is not having connections on here any more which I very much valued throughout my golfing years.

Hope everyone is doing ok.
