Looks lovely (& it would still look that way after 12 months in my bag due to lack of use) so its a Hybrid for me simply because I couldn't hit that club any further than a 5 iron
Just taken the 3 iron out and put the 3 hybrid back in, I seem to benefit more from the higher flight of the hybrid as opposed to the lower flight with the 3 iron, much more consistent with it too!
I have a 19degree i25. Very small head and goes miles when I flush it(not very often) I really do like my 4iron though.
Not sure I would get the same distance with a 3 iron v the rescue.
Starting to see other members carrying 5and 6 hybrids. Might try that when I get to 75
I have both a 3 hybrid which is really a 2 hybrid because it's 19° and 3 iron which is 21° so the two suit different jobs, off the tee if I'm aiming for position I'll go for the iron, the hybrid carries for miles but on the links won't roll much whereas to iron does
Longest iron I have is a 5.
22° hybrid followed by fairway woods...
I have had 3 and 4 irons in the past and I can hit them but just not as consistently as the hybrid.
Hybrids for me. I had 3 and 4 irons in the set I owned when I started playing again 5 years ago, occasionally caught the 3 sweet and it went for miles, never got on with the 4i. My last set had 3 & 4 hybrids which I hit well, I managed ok with the 5i, but never got on with the 6i. Now I have 4 - 6 hybrids, get on with all three better than I had with the iron equivalents in my last two sets.
