We are in the old smoke this weekend, on the Saturday evening the missus and I are at Smokestak for a meal and then we’ll be looking for a few bars, preferably with live music.
Any recommendations?
We are staying near Aldgate so anywhere within a reasonable walk or tube ride would be good ?

If you head towards the Truman Brewery in “edgy” Brick lane there are a few live music venues. It’s just a short walk from Aldgate.

Seriously though you will have a great time, as always on city breaks keep your wits about you because although the area is trendy there are still a lot of scrotes about. ?
