Loft & Lie Check

I am after a bit of advice. I bought my irons second hand from AG as they were at a very good price. Now being second hand I don't know if they are standard fit or not.

Would you guys recommend having the loft & lie checked on them and if so can you recommend anywhere to do this in the Chelmsford / Essex area.

Get them to the pro at your club. Who knows he may sort you out cheap.

Problem is our pro doesn't have any of the technology that it would need I don't think. No trackman, smash pads, etc.

Most pro's have a lie board. They are not exactly expensive, or technical.

From memory when i changed mine, they will do aloft and lie check however they need to be sent away for them to be altered (east Kilbride store) although the AG in glasgow world of golf has a repair section that does this on the spot. might be worht checking the World of golf near you

Direct Golf in Edgware checked and adjusted the lie on 4 sets of irons for me last week....( I did buy a set of irons).......they only charged me for the adjustment for the set I bought....it's normally £30....some might waive this..........they shouldn't charge anything just to check it, all they do is put some impact tape on the sole of the club and get you to hit off a bit of plastic.........you could probably do it at home in the back garden with a bit of masking tape.......

Give the lads at the Colchester AG a call, they do static fitting so will definitely have the necessary gear fella.

Go and see Lee Porter at Hylands Golf Course, he'll sort you out.

Would also recommend Dave at the same place for lessons, bropught my game on no end in the last 18 months.
