loft changing and bounce reduction

Has anyone every had there lofts bent on their wedges, and how much did this cost? and also decreasing the bounce, has anyone had that done either, price??? thanks guys, all info is useful :)

Provided the clubs can be bent easily enough I'd think a couple of quid to bend one.

I think altering the bounce would involve grinding it and have no idea on cost of that, sorry.

My Vokeys were bent 1 deg stronger when ordered.

This reduced the bounce at the same time by a degree also (I think).

Cost wise from a pro probably £3-5 a club I would have thought.

You need to be more careful benting cast wedges as they are more brittle.


You would need to grind the sole if you were looking to reduce bounce only as previously said.

I had my full set including hybrids and woods for £39.

This included checking my swing speed to see that I had the correct shaft (no need to change), grip size (told my grips where in very good condition and the ever so slight thickness needed wouldn't be worth the cost this early in my game).

And the guy who did them makes clubs, with a good rep too.
